TKA 1:200 is now TKA 2.4e™

TKA 1:200 is now called TKA 2.4e™. Nothing inside the bottle has changed. The name has simply caught up with the product.

Why the old name no longer fitted

TKA 1:200 was named in the early days, when the extract was described the way most Tongkat Ali was sold at the time: by its extraction ratio. A 1:200 ratio tells you how much raw root went into the process. It does not tell you how much of the active compound ends up in the capsule.

Many years ago we moved to an extract standardised to a measured percentage of eurycomanone, checked by HPLC and confirmed by independent laboratories. From then on the number that mattered was the percentage, not the ratio. The label kept its original name out of habit and familiarity, so it described how the product started out rather than what it had become.

We have written before about why the percentage matters more than the ratio. It made little sense to publish that guide while the product itself still led with a ratio.

What 2.4e means

• 2.4: the extract is standardised to 2.4% eurycomanone.
• e: eurycomanone, the compound that percentage measures.

The name now states the specification you can check against the certificate of analysis.

What has not changed

• The extract. The same standardised Tongkat Ali root extract, with Indonesian root and European extraction.
• The specification. 90 × 400mg delayed-release capsules, 2.4% eurycomanone.
• The testing. Independent analysis by SGS and Intertek, with the current batch number, expiry date and certificate of analysis published on the product page.
• The price and the product page. Existing links, bookmarks and past orders all still point to the same place.

If you still have a bottle labelled TKA 1:200, it is the same product. You do not need to do anything.
